When the Class of 2017 from DRW College Prep gathered with their families for Senior Signing Night, they were joined by supporters from DRW Trading and other community organizations. One highlight of the evening was DRW Trading’s generous gift of a new laptop to every senior in celebration of the students’ successes and life choices. For the second year in a row, every DRW senior was accepted into a four-year college.

“The joy that ripped through the crowd when it was announced that DRW Trading was gifting laptops, for now the second year, was bone chilling! You could just feel the relief that our students and families had,” shares Erika Jackson, DRW’s alumni coordinator.

Dyasha, a senior accepted to Villanova University wrote in a thank you note, “This is the best graduation gift thus far. It will help me so much through college.”

“The majority of our students are first generation, meaning that no guardian has a four-year degree, so the transition from high school to college can be a challenging one. The laptop donation will continue to allow our students to defeat the odds by making the transition that much easier,” Erika explained.

DRW College Prep is committed to giving students the option to go to college, working for reading and math growth, ACT and SAT prep, and helping with college preparedness. Following through on these sentiments by providing such lasting gifts reinforces DRW Trading’s engagement in the school and its students.
